Reminiscent of a cozy living room, the Imagine Wine Tasting Room delivers a one-of-a-kind experience.  You'll almost always find owners Ross and Lyn Dee Rankin at the tasting bar ready to share their knowledge, stories and wit. 

 

Located in the fast-growing Industrial Way Wine Mecca in Buellton, CA,  the winery is located in the same building as the tasting room.  Here, you will taste extraordinary small-lot wines created by winemaker Ross Jay Rankin.

 

The journey began 18 years ago when a group of friends decided to turn their dream into reality.  Their vision was to lovingly create a very small, truly boutique winery that produced handcrafted and surprising wines.

One of those surprising wines is Imagine's Signature Paradise Mountain Syrah.  Yummy is often the word heard resoundingly in the tasting room when this remarkable wine is served.  This Double Gold award winner is just one of many wines available to sample.

Depending on the whim of Lyndee or Ross, a tasting will include a mix of Imagine Wines such as Gold Medal Sangiovese, Barbera, French Colombard, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Zinfandel, Merlot, Grenache, the famous 2006 PD Syrah, Pearl Bubbles sparkling wine and an occasional blend.

Imagine wines are barrel aged for up to six years before bottling.  The wines are then released within a few months to a few years.

​

While visiting the tasting room, be sure to see the world famous stone sculpture of Blake Rankin.  In addition to being the son of Imagine's owners, Blake is an accomplished sculptor with famous works on display around the country.
