One never knows where the path will lead which is the beauty of the search. This Buscador story is about truth. In wine. In love. In life. After all, it is the journey in life that provides us with meaning.

Buscador Winery is real. Honest. And on the journey with you. We opened in April of 2017. Matt Kowalczyk, owner/winemaker, spent the past twelve years working with the best Santa Ynez Valley wine makers, sourcing grapes from the best vineyards, practicing innovative wine making techniques and creating a distinctive brand even before opening the doors.

Stephanie, wife and co-owner, planted a vineyard in Santa Rita Hills, honed her forklift skills in cellars of Marlborough, New Zealand, and was on a team managing the 2008 harvest for a number of local growers.

 

Both will greet you at the unique winery and tasting room where you can touch the barrels and taste the future.

Buscador is focused on bold Bordeaux varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, along with silky smooth Rhone varietals including Syrah, Grenache Rose’, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne. Of course, no gateway to Santa Rita Hills winery would be complete without Pinot Noir! All of our grapes are sourced locally.

 

Buscador Wine truly features something for everyone. 

The winery is located at 140 Industrial Way in Buellton, CA. In Santa Barbara County’s newest wine collective, Industrial Wine Works.
